At the end of the hooks is a long clear, plastic cable that has been finished with a wooden bead. The cable allows you to do large sewing pieces like blankets without running out of room. There is a bead at the end which stops your yarn from falling off or tangling. The bead can be moved up and down the cord to hold your sewing in place. Move the bead further down the cable as you crochet or knit more of your project.
